Price Slater Gawne is very pleased to announce that our Wealth Protection team has been awarded with a departmental ranking in the Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide 2026.

Director and Head of Wealth Protection, Gareth Williams, and Partner, Nina Sperring, have also been featured as ranking individuals in this year’s edition of the prestigious guide in the category of Private Wealth Law for Chester and the surrounding area.

Gareth said: “Being recognised in the High Net Worth Guide is a significant milestone for any firm and I’m delighted for our team’s efforts and expertise over the past few years to be reflected in this achievement. I’d like to thank our clients and colleagues, whose continued confidence and collaboration made this important endorsement possible.

“As we continue to expand our team’s reach and service offering, our focus remains on providing thoughtful, long‑term protection for families and business owners that meets the evolving challenges of our financial landscape head on.

“I’m incredibly proud of the real-world impact of the work we do for our clients and it is a responsibility we never take lightly.”

Chambers and Partners’ annual High Net Worth Guide recognises the most trusted and well-established firms and individual advisers serving High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra-High Net Worth (UHNW) clients worldwide.

The guide’s recommendations are the result of a combination of in-depth research by the Chambers and Partners team alongside first-hand feedback from clients, ensuring the rankings accurately champion professionals proven to provide both first-class expertise in their chosen fields and consistently excellent service for their client base.

Price Slater Gawne’s prominent inclusion in this year’s edition – showcasing both the strength of the team as a whole and personal expertise – is a proud reflection of the team’s reputation for delivering high-quality, bespoke succession and inheritance advice for HNW and UHNW individuals across England and Wales.

Highlighting the team’s track record of results and client-focused outlook, the guide also comments that the firm’s Wealth Protection team ‘are flexible with their approach and tailor the service to the client’s needs’ – whilst noting:

“Price Slater Gawne’s greatest strength is their partnership mindset.

“This cooperative approach ensures consistency, efficiency and a better overall client experience, making them a trusted and reliable partner.”

Both Gareth – whose inclusion in this edition marks his third consecutive year of ranking – and Nina are among the most highly respected estate planning specialists in Chester and are full members of the international body for inheritance planning professionals, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

The High Net Worth Guide describes Gareth as ‘a highly respected expert who is approachable, considerate and responsive’, as well as ‘knowledgeable, professional and a true credit to the industry’.

A STEP Worldwide Committee North West Representative, Nina possesses more than a decade’s experience in complex private client issues, including high-value estate planning and those with an international element.

Paying tribute to her expertise, Chambers’ High Net Worth Guide states ‘Nina stands out for her collaborative approach and ability to integrate legal advice seamlessly with our financial planning strategies’.

Other commentary notes: “Nina is quite simply exceptional. She is committed to giving all parties the absolute best of service with extraordinary empathy.”

As a professional with a rising media presence, she has also been repeatedly featured as a go-to expert for wealth planning and inheritance issues in the media in recent years, including interviews on BBC’s Breakfast Show and Money Box current affairs programmes.

Commenting on her debut appearance in the prestigious directory, Nina said: “This recognition means a great deal to me. Private client work is built on trust and long-term relationships and I’ve always valued helping clients navigate some of life’s most important and difficult decisions.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the clients and professional contacts who have placed their trust in me over the years. This recognition also reflects the strength of the fantastic team I’m fortunate enough to work alongside every day.”

This latest accolade comes during an exciting period of growth for the Wealth Protection department, which furthered the long-term expansion of its predominantly Chester based team into the Altrincham and South Manchester area earlier this year with the addition of Partner, Colin Watret.
