Julie Struthers

Julie is a Senior Associate Solicitor in our Clinical Negligence department, where she takes a lead role in our Complex Litigation team with a broad caseload of complex and high-value claims alongside inquest work.

With 15 years’ experience encompassing a wide range of Clinical Negligence specialisms, Julie’s expertise includes birth injuries and bowel injuries, and spinal injuries, as well as issues relating to informed consent, delayed cancer diagnoses and fatal injury, including stillbirths.

Prior to joining the Price Slater Gawne team, Julie spent more than a decade as a Clinical Negligence Solicitor at a leading UK law firm. She also qualified and gained experience as a junior doctor before transitioning into the legal field, giving her valuable hands-on insight into the complexities of medicine in practice, which she is able to draw on when bringing claims.

As a noted specialist in the area of Clinical Negligence, Julie was a finalist for Solicitor of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards in 2024 and has given lectures on Medical Law at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Outside of work, she has also been involved in regular fundraising for patient safety charity Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA).
