David possesses more than five years’ post-qualification experience and holds particular specialisms in a range of areas, including neurological and neuropsychiatric injuries, as well as maternal injuries due to negligent care during pregnancy, labour and delivery. He also has significant experience dealing with injuries resulting from delayed diagnosis or misdiagnosis of cancer, in addition to bladder and bowel cases, and infection-related matters such as necrotising fasciitis and sepsis. Prior to joining Price Slater Gawne, David gained initial experience as a Trainee and NQ Solicitor in the Clinical Negligence department of a nationally recognised law firm. He also spent approximately 18 months as a helpline volunteer for patient safety charity Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA), where he assisted callers navigating a variety of healthcare-related legal issues with advice suited to their needs. Outside of work, David has a passion for modern languages – enjoying learning Russian and Spanish in his spare time – and takes a keen interest in history, politics, economics and current affairs.
