Joe joined the Price Slater Gawne team in March 2021 as a Solicitor and Team Leader within our Clinical Negligence team. Joe leads the firm’s stage two clinical negligence team.

After studying at the University of Liverpool, Joe graduated in 2007 with a first class degree in Modern History and Politics. He then went on to study at BPP Law School in Manchester where he completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2008 followed by the Legal Practice Course in 2009.

Following his studies, Joe joined a leading North West law firm as a Trainee Solicitor before qualifying in 2012. He remained with this firm as a specialist Clinical Negligence solicitor, gaining significant experience in catastrophic injuries including cases relating to cerebral palsy, delays in diagnosing cancer and erb’s palsy. Joe has previously secured millions of pounds in damages for clients to enable them to access the care and rehabilitation they need.

Joe has represented bereaved families at inquest and pursued an Article 2 Human Rights Act ‘best interests’ claim in the Royal Courts of Justice.

In his spare time, Joe plays a number of musical instruments including the violin and guitar. He also enjoys spending time running, swimming and playing rugby.
