Janet joined us as a consultant in January 2018. Based in south Manchester, she has over 20 years experience in bringing claims for victims of medical negligence. She has a track record of securing six and seven figure settlements for her clients.
A former Head of Medical Negligence and partner in a national practice, she brings with her vast experience being particularly well regarded for her work on claims involving a delay in diagnosis (especially cancer) and surgical errors. She is respected for her work on fatal cases especially those involving families and has brought a large number of successful claims for brain injuries (particularly birth injuries) as well as orthopaedic injuries including hip dysplasias.
Janet was involved in the ground-breaking, law-making case of Bolitho which is now used as part of the test against which all medical negligence cases are judged. She also acted for the Claimants in the BSE/CJD Litigation.
Janet has been recognised as a specialist in the field since 2003; having been accredited by the Law Society on their specialist panel as well as receiving accreditation from the specialist medical accidents charity AvMA.
Janet works with claimants from all over the country and has been ranked as a leader in the field of clinical negligence; her peers praising her “thorough approach and dedication”, singling out her ability to “pick up and run with a case, analysing it shrewdly before selecting the right course of action”.

Out of work, at her happiest, Janet can be found walking her dog and spending time with her children while eating ice cream. She also tries to keep up at the bootcamp and circuits classes at the local gym.
