Janet Johnson

Janet has more than 20 years’ experience in bringing claims for victims of Clinical Negligence, with a track record of securing six and seven figure settlements for her clients.

A former Head of Clinical Negligence and partner in a national practice, she brings with her vast experience, and is particularly well regarded for her work on claims involving a delay in diagnosis (especially cancer) and surgical errors. She is respected for her work on fatal cases especially those involving families and has brought many successful claims for brain injuries (particularly birth injuries) as well as orthopaedic injuries including hip dysplasia.

Janet was involved in the ground-breaking, law-making case of Bolitho which is now used as part of the test against which all medical negligence cases are judged. She also acted for the Claimants in the BSE/CJD Litigation.

She has been recognised as a specialist in the field since 2003, having been accredited by the Law Society on their specialist panel as well as receiving accreditation from the specialist medical accidents charity AvMA.
