Medical negligence solicitors Price Slater Gawne strengthens its South Yorkshire team by recruiting former Raleys solicitor Andrew Harrison to their specialist team.
Andrew, previously head of medical negligence at Barnsley-based Raleys, brings Price Slater Gawne their fifth Law Society-accredited panel member, making the 25-strong specialist firm one of the largest and best qualified teams of medical negligence lawyers in the north. The Chambers-listed practice originated in Altrincham, Cheshire, but has quickly extended nationwide, and now offers a dedicated team to South Yorkshire.
Price Slater Gawne’s very personal service was an important factor in the move, says Andrew: “It is very rewarding to be asked to join such a highly-specialised team, but it was important to me that I could continue to practice in South Yorkshire. Victims of medical negligence are already going through enough without having to travel to see a lawyer. Our region has very few firms who specialise in this type of complex case, and with firms like Raleys gone there is almost no coverage for key areas like Barnsley. Being able to go and see people at home, and them being able to call me direct, changes the service to something much more personal, and committed, and that’s vital in being able to properly help people out at a time when they really need it.”
Mark Slater, one of the founding partners of the firm commented “I have known Andrew and his work for several years. He is a natural fit into our team and his appointment continues our strategy of recruiting individuals who are recognised specialists in their field.”
