Altrincham based law firm, Price Slater Gawne, is proud to have successfully achieved renewal of its Cyber Essentials certification for 2020, demonstrating the firm’s sustained commitment to cyber security.
The Cyber Essentials accreditation provides assurance to those who work with the firm, including clients, suppliers and partner organisations that stringent security measures are in place to provide protection against the most common cyber security threats.
With a reported increase in cyber attacks during the COVID-19 lockdown period, maintaining high level of cyber security has never been more vital. Price Slater Gawne is proud to have achieved reaccreditation during this period.
In order to achieve accreditation, the firm was required to assess their risk of cyber attack against five security controls and where required, implement security measures against such risks. This process ensures that sufficient controls are in place to reduce any potential breach to systems and data.
Regarding achieving reaccreditation, Victoria Price, Director commented:
“At Price Slater Gawne, we take the management and security of data extremely seriously.
Maintaining our accreditation to Cyber Essentials is just one way in which we can be confident that we have the robust systems and processes in place to protect the client, company and supplier information we store and use against the most common cyber threats.
We are proud to have achieved reaccreditation, particularly during the COVID period of risk when attempted cyber attacks have been high”.
