How easily can I change my will?

Now that wills are word processed, updating your will including details of executors or beneficiaries should be a straight forward task. You can contact the solicitors who prepared your will to do this or you can visit a new solicitors for their advice.

It is sensible to review your will, your assets and bequests from time to time to make sure the will works for you. It also sensible to review who your executor(s) and beneficiaries are. This is especially true if there have been family break ups or friendship have dwindled or someone who was mentioned in your will has died. Similarly if your family has grown, new people have come into your life or your finances have changed then you should review your intentions and your will. Keep it up to date.

If you have questions about making a new will or updating your existing one, please contact a member of the Price Slater Gawne Wills, Trusts and Probate team on 0161 615 5554, by email to or by visiting our Altrincham office. We will be happy to help.
