Price Slater Gawne started life in 2010 as Price & Slater. Victoria Price and Mark Slater had spent several years working together at a leading national law firm, and wanted to find a better way to help their clients. With the freedom that starting a new law firm brings, they were able to build a firm exactly the way they wanted it, and it continues in the same ethos today.
The firm is truly paperless, making use of current technology to allow everything to be stored electronically in ‘the cloud’. Apart from the obvious benefits of no endless rows of filing cabinets, it also enables our team to work anywhere, at any time, yet still maintain access to all of the information they require in order to provide the excellent client service which we are known for. We pride ourselves in being truly virtual.
In 2012, Victoria and Mark were joined by Chris Gawne, an acknowledged ‘heavy hitter’ in the clinical negligence claims field, and the firm became Price Slater Gawne. Since then the firm has continued to grow, and in 2012 was identified as a leading firm for medical negligence claims by Chambers and Partners. Also in 2012, we gained approval from the Solicitors Regulation Authority to train solicitors prior to qualification. The first of these have now qualified and remain with the firm.
What started as 2 people wanting to do something different and better than their competitors, has grown into one of the largest teams of claimant clinical negligence solicitors in the North West, based in Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Tameside, Lancashire, Cumbria, Merseyside, across the border into South Yorkshire, down to Kent and Cambridgeshire. We instruct medical experts and barristers from all over the British Isles. More importantly our clients live all over England and Wales.
As the firm has grown it has evolved and we are now able to offer support for those needing legal help resolving family disputes.
